I have a house full of autism and we are thriving. Some
of my children have little resemblance to the diagnosis of PDD that they were given before their second birthday and one in
particular has exceeded all the experts early predictions of never talking and being trapped in a rocking, flapping, screaming
world that I couldn't reach! I made some choices that worked, and I think that the basis of those choices were nutritional.
My experiences with autism have translated into a fierce
determination to reach out and network with as many other families as possible--of kids with autism, other developmental delays,
and typical kids as well--and talk about the impact of nutrition on our quality of life today and even more so on tomorrow.
Changing our diet, paying attention to what we put into our bodies, and understanding the unique abilities of each of our
bodies to process different foods, is part of the message I carry to all I meet. The nutritional choices that I
made, worked and I want to share what I have learned. I hope that what I have learned, helps you on your journey
with your child.
A lot of what gets me through each day, isn't magic.
Autism is not easy---for us or for them. I want you to find support here. I want you to know that you aren't alone,
judged and isolated in a world of misunderstanding. I want you to find the strength to grow and change and
become stronger, moving forward a little at a time, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. I want you too,
to cherish the gift of the child you have been given, even when you are surrounded by a darkness that you feel with never
lift. Most importantly I want to say thanks to all that have embraced me on my journey
For close to 10 years I held
tight to a dream. It kept me sane and moving forward. My dream was to build a worldwide community of support. To find parents who are fighting the same battles
every day, and let them talk and let them hear they will survive and grow stronger from parents who have walked that same
path. Today I can say that dream is reality, I live my dream every day. Dreams are possible. My dream is bigger
and better than I ever imagined! In 2007, I was given an amazing opportunity
and an amazing answer for my families nutrition struggles. In August 2007 I ordered
Juice Plus for my family and quickly became a distributor, making money I never thought I could because I had to be home with
my autistic child. Juice Plus was not only the most astounding change I have made in my son’s and my entire family’s
diet, but also the business, was a means to realize my dream. My business, LiveJPStrong, fully funds Autistic and Healthy
and the Autistic and Healthy Charity Foundation. Autistic and healthy connects families living with autism worldwide, on its
website, www.autisticandhealthy.com, through the facebook fan page and twitter, Autistic and Healthy, and also via podcasts
on iTunes. All Proceeds from Juice Plus purchased on www.livejpstrong.com fund Autistic and Healthy. Please contact Ann about Juice Plus for your family--Make each day special, and each day healthy. God Bless – Ann’s cell 314-368-6571 or autisticandhealthy@earthlink.net. What’s your Dream?
